Series Two: Arlington, Baseball's First Weekend, and JOOLIAN TAVAREZ

Friday: Tim Wakefield (BOS) v. Robinson Tejeda (TEX)
Satuday: JULIAN TAVAREZ (BOS) v. Kevin Millwood (TEX)
Sunday: Curt Schilling (BOS) v. Vincente Padilla (Tex)

Boston is 2-1 after a series in Kansas City with Matsuzaka and Beckett picking up wins for the team while Gil Meche held the Sox' bats silent on opening day.

Texas is 0-3 after they couldn't figure out the arms of Anaheim, scoring only seven runs in three games. Millwood, Padilla, and McCarthy picked up losses. This is their opening series at home for the 2007 season.

There is a S3F: Vegas event for Saturday's game, if anyone is interested.

Count me among the uninterested...Boston is clearly the better team but Julian Tavarez is starting so I don't know what to make of that one...I still don't know how Julian Tavarez got a spot in this rotation.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

Yesterday was an offensive disaster as the Sox couldn't do anything against Robinson Tejeda...now it's Julian's turn to right the ship

Julian's turn to right the Rangers ship that has been an ineffective offense. Probably not what you had in mind but that's what I'm hoping for. I bet on Julian giving up 6+ earned runs. I don't expect he will, but you never know.

Yet another horrid game. The Sox really need Schill to come through to make this a .500 road trip.

Man, nothing like potentially managing yourself into a sweep.

Schilling went 7, 1 ER, dealing in the prior two innings...and Francona brings in Piniero to load the bases, Lopez to face a RHB (as a LOOGY), and now Papelbon needs to get five outs with a one run lead and a guy at third

Papelbon just made the Rangers look like little leaguers up there. He is the reason I am picking the Sox to win the East.

Papelbon is the pen at this point since Francona refuses to recognize Brendan Donnelly's existance and no one else has stepped up.
