He is back in the closer role according to the ESPN Bottomline. With Timlin's injury and the pen's suckiness, I guess they like him there. Good pickup fantasy players.

Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.
Damn, I have to stop laughing at all the draft day no shows that got Palpelbon and no real closers.

Wow! I definitely did not see that coming.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.
Ah, give me something clever to say here.
They're bluffing. The Scott Linebrink trade is just around the corner.

Good move by the Sox as they had no real options at closer.
I wanted to see them have Joel Pineiro at closer. Popcorn and all!

It figures that Theo ruins the fun for everyone else.
I was listening to a Peter Gammons interview on Mike and Mike couple of weeks ago, he said Papelbon has some kind of injury(cant remember what kind) so based on that injury it would be beneficial to him to pitch every 4-5 days as a everyday starter instead of pitching every day as a closer. And it makes sense. I just hope his injury issues are resolved and hopefully the Red Sox wont jeapeordize his future.
