Not only did Beckett bait Anibal Sanchez throw a no-no, the Sox stud SP (KYLE SNYDAH!) got blown up. At least Coco did something...

BOSTON -- The string of great Red Sox pitching ended with a bang Wednesday night.

Jim Thome and Jermaine Dye hit towering home runs while Jose Contreras limited Boston batters to four hits over eight innings as the White Sox salvaged the finale of the Fenway Park three-game series, 8-1. Coco Crisp, who had three of Boston's hits, homered and fell a triple shy of the cycle.

The White Sox took command in the second inning against Boston starter Kyle Snyder (4-4) with four runs.

Thome got it started when he hit a fastball from Kyle Snyder several rows deep into the bleachers behind the Red Sox's bullpen for his 39th of the season and 469th of his career, tying him with Manny Ramirez for 26th on the all-time list.
