    Big series coming up...

Well, sort of. The Tigers are coming in scuffling, and minus this last three game sweep of Baltimore (somehow), the Sox haven't been too hot. And these teams have little to do with each other's playoff future. But the Tigers have to be anxious to prove something against Boston after they've had trouble with Chicago/New York/Boston already. The Red Sox must be anxious to prove they weren't just beating up on the hapless O's pitching.

Beckett came up huge last night.

The Red Sox suck right now. Wily Mo made a crucial "mistake" (they didn't call it an error), and they lost again. Wasting a good start by Schill to boot

This is like a dream come true. The only thing that could make this any sweeter would be the Yankees sweeping all 5 at Boston this weekend, while the White Sox win all 4 of their games....

I saw the highlight of Wily Mo's dropped ball. I couldn't believe they didn't call that an error. I think I may have seem more bad umpiring this year than any other year that I have closely followed the sport, or at least a whole lot more that stand out.

To be fair, that's the Red Sox official scorer rather than the umpires who make the ruling. So yeah, if I were a major league player, I'd make a visit every once in a while to the scorers to make sure they don't call errors on me.

That's right, I forgot about them. lol
Then I've seen some really bad scorekeeping this season.

Thankfully, yesterday, the Sox held up. With a very good start from, of all people, David Wells. Papelbon looked amazing. Oh, and Papi. Whoo.

Even Crisp is looking a little better
