Rumors are also flying that TheoElDio is looking to make some extremely creative move, and he's also looking for an SP. Sportscenter is saying Epstein's looking at a four-team deal to bring Linebrink over to the Sox to help a bumbling pen.

In other news, according to Stark, Tejada would be in Houston if not for Angelos.

I have doubts that it will happen. Many fans are already turning on Crisp and I think Lowell has overperformed, but Theo would have to be

A) Crazy
B) Enamored with the prospects
C) (have) a contingency trade in place

To go from Crisp to Pena, and worse, Lowell to Choi (my guess at 1B, Youk to 3B)

They really don't. Much like the Mets, they've graduated almost everyone of worth in their system already who is ready and not named Dustin Pedroia. (And moving Loretta to third would be way too strange)

I heard the Red Sox are after Julio Lugo, if they get him, they're going to trade Loretta....where is the next question. I've heard Lowell and Loretta were going to be involved in the trade talks with San Diego, but the Padres have Barfield at 2nd and I don't think they'd want Loretta at 3rd.

My guess is that it would be in a four team deal moving Lowell to SD and getting Lugo, while sending Loretta elsewhere if that happens. If it's smaller, Loretta and Lugo move with other pieces.
