Wade Miller pitched five scoreless innings tonight for Triple-A Pawtucket. He gave up five hits, walked two and struck out three.
He topped out at 91 mph in the game. ''I accomplished what I wanted to,'' Miller said. ''I kept the ball down pretty decent but I left a few up. Other than that, I felt pretty strong tonight and felt like my control was getting better from last time.'' Miller will pitch again for Pawtucket on Tuesday. If that goes well, perhaps he'll be activated to start next Sunday.
