NBA Kawhi Leonard AND Paul George to the Los Angeles (sigh) Clippers

Guess the PG-13 trade was what was holding up Kawhi's decision. The Lakers absolutely deserve to be dunked on after striking out on both guys in back-to-back years. FML.

And the Davis trade might be on hold because of this. Because. of Course.

The only consolation I have for myself is I'm not as much of a basketball fan as I am baseball and football.

Actually, I'm not a huge fan of Paul George, so I wasn't that sad when he spurned us for OKC. My dream scenario would have been getting AD and Kawhi instead of LeBron's decline years, but that's how shit goes for this franchise nowadays.

Shit, at this point, would it be all that bad if the trade didn't go through? LeBron didn't get his 3rd superstar, and if the season goes awry again, AD could and would walk away.

So, our consolation is now Cousins, Pope, and Danny Green.

Rondo and McGee also re-signed. Basically bringing back last year's castoff signings except Lance Stephenson and Michael Beasley.

I know that Kawhi dictated that he and Paul George are an item, but it's going to be funny when Russell Westbrook ends up being traded for a fraction of the haul the Clippers gave up for George.

Well, what do you know...Houston gets Westbrook, dumps CP3's contract in the process all for the price of a couple of picks that OKC will have to attach to CP3 anyway if they ever hope to move him, and Houston didn't have to sacrifice Capela, Gordon, or Tucker. I'm jealous of all the Texas teams.

I know a lot hated on the move, but I love it.

I, like most, wanted the Rockets to beat the Warriors just to mix things up. But Moreyball is so cringeworthy, especially in the playoffs. Its going to be so much fun to see Harden get actual looks as Westbrook drives and creates. Not to mention to see Russ develop as a slasher, which I think he still has the athleticism to be elite at.

Harden's career has been so odd, from the puzzling trade from OKC to his misaligned co-stars in Howard and Paul. It might not work, but it has the chance to be fun.

On a related note, I think OKC should go all in and trade Alexander for picks. I know he is a talent and could be their light at the end of a rebuild, but something seems so devilish about Presti having control of the lottery for the next 6 years.

Is anybody really hating this trade for Houston? Nobody thought Houston would be able to get rid of Old Man Paul, much less get a younger superstar in return. Sure, it might not work, just like Dwight Howard didn't work for the Lakers, but I don't regret trading Bynum so he could further ruin his knee playing bowling, either.

Enough of the talking heads seem to hate it for the reason that Westbrook and Harden both need the ball. But they have to hate everything to make it a story.

I still love the idea of Westbrook as an off-ball slasher for when Harden brings it down.

Also, Bynum is only 31 years old. Which is crazy.

    Aaaannnd Cousins is hurt.

Lakers center DeMarcus Cousins has suffered a possible knee injury and will undergo further testing today in Los Angeles, league sources tell ESPN. Cousins was working out in Las Vegas on Monday when he had to leave the court, sources said. He signed a one-year deal in July.
It's like the neverending nightmare. Can it POSSIBLY get any worse? Oh, you bet it can!

Why do I always root for teams that have key players getting injured before the season even starts?
