im so excited we can fill out a full starting lineup with a 6th man for the sixers again this year. last year we got them wiggins, james young, jerami grant, nick johnson, dwight powell, alec brown and laquinton ross. well, at least the first 4 got solid minutes at some point this year.

to be honest though, this year, im almost tempted to use every sixers pick i get, on some random foreigner no ones ever heard of. because... hinkie.

With the 1st pick of the 2015 NBA draft, the Minnesota T-Pups select...

Karl Anthony Towns, PF/C from Kentucky.

Minnesota is looking refreshing after the Kevin Love trade. Andrew Wiggins proved to be better his rookie year than many expected, and at the very least, profiles as a defensive monster. With the young nucleus intact, the Wolves needed an excellent big. Towns was not able to show off his spectrum of skills, which includes some serious range and ready to bloom offensive skill. He can also hit foul shots.... this goes along with his athleticism and rim protecting prowess, which should be immediate.

With the 2nd pick of the 2015 NBA Draft, the Los Angeles Lakers select... D'Angelo Russell, Point Guard from THE Ohio State University

Admittedly, I love Russell, and he's my number 2 guy on my board... behind the previously drafted Towns. I believe that he compares favorably to a guy that would play in the same arena as him, in this scenario, CP3. Okafor is a special player on offense. His post game and his hands are impeccable. But he's not a particularly good shooter from the field, he's a relatively awful free throw shooter, and history shows that usually doesn't improve drastically, and he's downright brutal on the defensive end. I think Russell is the building block the Lakers need, and should take. And, addition by subtraction, it keeps them away from Rajon Rondo.

Houston should have put Nick Johnson on Steph in the playoffs. Guarantee he would have done much better than the two guys who are a combined age, older than Cy.

i dont really want okafor honestly. i mean, if kingdom doesnt take him at 3, im kinda handcuffed into taking him at 4 because i dont want porzingis and im kinda meh on mudiay too... but id much rather russell or winslow [i might take winslow at 4 over okafor anyway, because fuck it, last year our draft went in the shitter at the first pick because we took embiid before he got hurt]

If only that would happen. Then Okafor can go 5th to Orlando, but I expect in real life we'll take either Porzingis, or Winslow. Maybe Russell if he happens to fall.

With the 3rd pick, Philadelphia selects:

    PG Emmanuel Mudiay, Guangdong Southern

Mudiay seems to have a different buzz about him than Dante Exum had. Plus Larry Brown raved about this kid. Philly needs guards, they need perimeter players, and they need a playmaker. Only they could screw this up in real life and not take Russell or Mudiay, but I'm not messing around. This will move Canaan to a reserve roll where he can come off the bench and fire 10 threes in 15 minutes a game.

Orlando would be the one giving up 133 with Vucci Mane and Okafor patrolling the interior

With the 4th pick, the New York Knicks select Jahlil Okafor, Power Forward/Center from Duke University.

Meh. We don't play defense anyway. I've really given up hope on seeing a legit contender in my lifetime. I'd love to see them trade Carmelo and just start from absolute rockbottom, and maybe in 5 years they'll have something. But they won't.
