When has bringing in a clapped-out legendary coach still living off past glories to overhaul your front office ever worked out? What usually happens is that he'll bring in his cronies - who otherwise couldn't get a job by merit with any other team - to run the show, while he's at the golf course, a la Bill Parcells with the Dolphins, Joe Torre with the Dodgers, Phil Jackson with the Knicks, Tony La Russa with the Dbags, etc. etc. and oh yeah, Mike Holmgren in Cleveland.

Surprise, D-Fish has the Knicks in last place in the entire league and Bill Simmons just criticized Phil for "not working hard enough."

Edit: Even Grandpa Joe and Donnie Dumbshit has "managed" the Dodgers to the NLCS.

More than likely Rondo as that will be Kobe's pick. That signing will only end up in tears unless they bring in another star to anchor down low and keep in the bottom five (or top five from Philly's perspective) to protect losing their pick. Dragic at least could score in volume if he was allowed to shoot (in a post-Kobe era) and wasn't on a team with two other main PGs.... Rondo, not so much. Really, the Lake Show should just tank and wait, praying they have a young core together to then lure a KD with the glitz and glam of purple & gold.

In other news, who wants to bet Amare finds second life since he is leaving NYC? Seems to be a new trend (or at least they die when coming there.)
