i guess i got bad info the other day, because everything i read says christian wood actually is going pro. and buddy hield going back to college. both the big foreigners, hezonja and porzingis are officially in as well. and chris walker, former mcdonalds all american and all around hype machine coming out of high school, is also going pro. nba level athlete, has the basketball iq of my remote control alas.

It'll be interesting to see how they react if their 5-year plan blows up if Michael Carter-Williams goes on to have a long career and whoever they draft with the Lakers' pick becomes a bust.

hypothetically, if the lakers get a top 5 pick this year, then go nuts in fa with love, rondo or whoever, and put a contender back on the floor next year, that pick could be in the 20s next season.

Very doubtful that the Lakers pick falls into the 20s. They'd have to do a lot of things right, mainly start winning games, and I don't see it happening.

Perhaps I disagreed with the level of certainty involved and misconstrued your words.

There's really never enough information to make any kind of guess on how a team will fare next year, especially in the NBA, and especially with a team with LA's finances, and especially if they don't lose their top 5 pick.
