Maybe the league salary cap is lower than I think it is, but setting the minimum team payroll to 75-to-90% of the cap looks like a horrible move. For instance, the Clippers will have to re-sign Blake Griffin to half of its payroll and/or add another Baron Davis albatross contract to meet the requirement.
That's why I never liked the idea of a salary floor.
It's great in theory, but in practice it'll just force albatross contracts if there isn't much available in free agency.
And then, since scrub player is being overpaid obviously anybody better than him is now worth that much more.

I've always wanted more Jerome James' contracts, yay!
I'll be happy to just have the NBA back in my life. Curling just wasn't cutting it.
Free agency is going to be madness. A zillion moves crammed in a couple of weeks. The bottom line ticker will end up breaking.
Are there any worthwhile free agents?
Sportsline.com lists Nene and Marc Gasol as the top two.

All I know is that the Bulls need to replace Bogans.

Yeah, my mistake. I meant Marc.

I like Marc Gasol. Nene is solid too. As a result, being capable big men, they will get monster deals. Erick Dampier type deals, perhaps more?
