Pierce had a grade 2 ankle sprain, what did you want him to do, go out and risk more serioius injury to get a worse pick?

And to that I give him a ton of credit.
Agree, thats why Doc gets my vote. He also did a great job developing the young guys to put around the core (Powe, Davis, Rondo etc)

Mofo, look on the bright side, at least Boston wasn't still using the amazing Mark Blount as part of their tank strategy.
Re: Who would you want to coach your NBA team?
Popavich is the best choice, but I am giving a sympathy vote to Pat Riley who I wouldn't mind at all if the team construction was right for his style.

It's not about not playing Pierce. It's about running your worst defenders, e.g. Sebastian Telfair, Gerald Green, and Allan Ray, out there to allow the opposing team to get back into the game.

What about Prick Carlisle? Pistons fans will agree that guy can coach. He took a Pistons team that had Jerry Stackhouse and nobody else really (Clifford Robinson, Corliss Williamson, Chucky Atkins, LOL really?) to a 50 win season in his first year, and turned a nobody like Ben Wallace into a defensive superstar, using a system in which his teammates funneled the ballhandler to him while he's guarding a stiff, as ttex likes to put it.

Have to disagree with you on that, Ben Wallace never guarded stiffs, he was always guarding the best player on the opposing team(PF or C, depending on the team).
Re: Who would you want to coach your NBA team?
Definitely not Mike Brown. Why is the NBA coach of the year having his assistant draw up the play with his team trailing with 3.2 seconds left in the game while he's pacing around?

Re: Who would you want to coach your NBA team?
Cause hes the offensive guru... like Doc has Thiobough (sp) as a defensive guru
Re: Who would you want to coach your NBA team?
Ok, my final answer is Phil. Forget the X's and O's. He has the power to embarrass any other coach in the league:

Oh my god, I can't stop laughing at this even after a dozen times.
Re: Who would you want to coach your NBA team?
Yes, Maurice Evans making his way briefly into the video made it so hilarious! Brilliant.
