Chris Ray earned a relief victory after pitching a scoreless ninth Tuesday against the Mets.
Ray, the Orioles' closer, has allowed just one run and two hits in 6 1/3 innings this spring.

This is a good sign for a bullpen of the O's that seems barren after the trade of Julio and the departure of B.J. Ryan. Granted, the O's will still have trouble as there isn't someone else who can shut the door behind Ray, but even in a small amount of innings, he's only allowed a hit every three innings. Not bad at all.
