    Brian Roberts ready to play

This is pretty good news for the Orioles, as they can use any help they can get, and Roberts was a very good player for them last year. Even better for my fantasy team who is relying on Roberts

Brian Roberts (elbow) said Friday that he will be ready to make his spring debut Tuesday.
"That's the words I've been looking for from him for a while," manager Sam Perlozzo said. "It put a smile on my face." Mar. 18 - 9:55 am et

I just can't wait to see Roberts play again. He was off to a hot start last season. I would like to see something like that again. Hopefully he will be fully recovered by the time he comes back.

Well, if Roberts isn't ready, the O's seem prepared. They are looking at Todd Walker, former Sox (among others) 2B

The Baltimore Orioles continue to scout Cubs second baseman Todd Walker, who would be used as a designated hitter and left-handed bat off the bench. Walker also would serve as an insurance policy for second baseman Brian Roberts, who expects to get his first Grapefruit League action this week. Roberts is coming off elbow surgery and doesn't expect to be ready by Opening Day. A roadblock to a possible trade is the Orioles' reluctance to pick up all of Walker's $2.5 million contract.
