    Orioles schedule change

The O's just announced they will play tomorrow's game against the White Sox, it will be a 2 pm but closed to the public.
Monday and Tuesday games will be made up as a double header on May 28th.

The games scheduled for this weekend against the Tampa Bay Rays will be played at Tropicana Field with the Orioles serving as the "home" team. Exchanges or refunds will be made for tickets purchased for the series at Camden Yards.

It might be nice if MLB.TV made this a free game tomorrow.

not sure how that really ties in with the baseball aspects of which the post covered.

Though I didn't mention the (un)civil unrest in Baltimore, we all know why the the games have been postponed, will be closed and more moved.

I was more talking to Leo, solely because there's no reason to get into political opinions on the matter, and frankly I go here to get away from that stuff by and large since it's really rampant at work, even if I agree with the sentiment.

Any of our opinions on the protests have nothing to do with baseball or the games themselves really.

I know it was to Leo, normally I would agree with you about it being "off topic". However, given that the games are being moved due to the protests, whether we like it or not they are connected.

The stupidity of tearing apart your city and causing destruction and mayhem in response to injustice isn't a political debate. It's stupid.

The dynamics of the incident that led to that, perhaps, but I didn't go there. If someone else chooses to that's on them. But regardless of your opinion of the situation that fueled it the response is asinine and I won't apologize for stating as much.

And that's an opinion, one of a political nature. I can bet dollars to donuts our favourite Packer fans all disagree with you.

That's fine, but it's still politically based. There's plenty to talk about the ramifications of this in terms of the impact on the baseball teams. I see no reason to delve into the actions of a politically charged tinderbox.

Whenever we hear about sports fans rioting because their favorite team won (or lost) a championship I respond about how dumb and stupid that is.

I don't view my posts in here as any different. That aspect is not political.

I don't think you've ever said anything about justice when it came to a riot after a championship game.

By injecting justice into the discussion via your comment, you made it about politics as opposed to the stupidity of rioting.

And now we're arguing about what I'm arguing about and the choices of words I used and whether or not we can classify it as "politics", which is definitely much more fun than politics or baseball.

My favorite part of riots is the rioters threatening drivers who come their way while impeding them by standing in front of them. That'll teach those meddling commuters trying to get home safely not to interrupt the protest!

I guess it is all in how you view it. If you are someone that sees "politics" in virtually everything, then it's political. I view this more as a social issue. I take/took most of Leo's comments to sound more like a response to a social problem not a political agenda. Not that there won't be some players that will use this as a political platform like the Jesses and Sharptons of the world or even the Governor of MD, but this is a problem within our society that is being taken to extremes.

The people that are violent and destructive don't care about what really happened it's just an opportunity to be hooligans and they run with it. To me it is just sad that as far as we have come in our society we are also very far apart.

I hope I'm never in a place that something like this happens... I might go GTA on the whole bunch of them.
