    Orioles O's make small/smart trade

O's trade 31 year old Oscar Salazar, who has been in the minors most of his career, for a project arm in Cla Meredith, who is 26 years old. In the end this trade may be inconsequential as both players appear to not have what it takes to stick in the bigs..., but the O's get the higher upside on this one. Good Trade!

Oscar Salazar is crap. He was demoted to Double A several times, even as recently as two years ago, for crying out loud.

Two very good points that support the O's getting a good deal.

Salazar is a 31 year old backup middle infielder(who was a backup on a crappy team, no offense Orioles fans). Meredith is a 26 year old relief prospect. I don't think Meredith will become a big time closer or anything, but in the end, I think the Orioles definitely got the better end of this trade.
