    Orioles Wieters so far

    .261 2HR 6RBI and 17K in 19 Games (69AB)

Am I the only one that expected a bit more pop? Now I did expect him to struggle a bit with strikeouts and not have a high BA, but I figured we would see a bit more HR power and gap power...

He IS still young and with practically no experience.. and I do believe that he is getting better as each week passes..

Is it unrealistic to think of a .285-.290 BA and about 12-15 more HR?

Over the course of a season, I'd say no. But I've noticed with young guys who aren't Adam Dunn's or other dead power hitters, the power is slow to show when they move to MLB. A lot of guys bring decent plate discipline, and just a fraction of their eventual power.

I think that for the rest of this season, he'll end up somewhere around .275-280, 10 HR, and 50 RBI.
