Jones To Hit Second

ESPN is reporting that Adam Jones will hit in the #2 slot in the lineup this year. This should keep Markakis in the #3 hole where he belongs. Markakis split time between #2 and #3 last year. Jones is hitting .378 this spring with seven stolen bases. If Jones can improve upon his .311 OBP from last year, the O's should have a damn good top three in Roberts, Jones and Markakis.

Sounds like they will have a pretty good top of the order this season. Frankly, I'd hit Wieters 6th and Pie 9th, if they play regularly.

Wieters was sent down today so don't expect him til late May at the earliest. Pie is absolutely sucking it up this spring and has already lost his LF job to Wiggington.
