Second baseman Brian Roberts addressed the media regarding his impending four-year contract extension on Thursday, a four-year deal that will take him through the 2013 season. Roberts said that the process isn't completely finished on his $40 million extension, but he expressed relief that the negotiations are behind him.

I thought Roberts and the O's wouldn't get a deal done and Roberts would be traded but it looks like I was wrong. Smart move for the O's who have a lot of good players climbing up the ranks. Watch out for this team in 2011. Roberts is a damn good second baseman who can hit, steal bases and play good defense. Having Roberts batting leadoff for four more years is a no brainer. Good job by the O's!!
