Erik Bedard limited the Red Sox to one run in seven innings on Wednesday, and the Orioles held on to win 4-3.
After David Ortiz hit a two-run homer in the ninth to bring the Red Sox within one, Willie Harris was thrown out stealing second, ending the game. Bedard won for the first time in five starts, and the Orioles snapped their 13-game losing streak to Boston. Bedard is 5-2 with a 4.18 ERA.

Bedard had a great game, although someone finally got to Chris Ray (Big Papi). Still, it was a really close play at second and likely the correct call. Willie barely got caught. Still, a good game for the O's who could really use one.
