Rodrigo Lopez was pounded for eight runs in four-plus innings in a loss to the Red Sox on Monday night.
Lopez used to own the Red Sox, but he's 0-3 with a 9.39 ERA against the club this year. He still hasn't allowed fewer than four earned runs in any of his nine starts. The Orioles won't be replacing any of their starters before Daniel Cabrera returns, but Lopez seems to be at least as in need of a bullpen assignment as Bruce Chen.

Ouch. Well, ouch for him, good for the Sox. All about the Wily Mo. And the Lowell Spinner.
