How do you become a Moderator?

I am wondering; How do you become a Moderator? Is it the number of posts you get?, the responsibilities. ETC, Can you tell me please? Thanks.

When you have been around for quite a while and shown that you are a quality poster who really helps out a lot and keeps forums active and posts quality stuff then the moderators may decide that you would be a good addition to the staff and invite you. As the board grows we will need more moderators in the future, so keep posting quality stuff and someday it could be you .

Welcome to the board by the way. You seem to be a pretty cool poster.

Moderators grow on special moderator trees and are picked ripe during baseball season.

Actually, no. You have to be a good poster, contribute, and recruit fans. Pretty much it.

What are fans? Are they like people that you show the site to?

I've seen some mods here get the job without recruiting tons of people. It's just mostly about putting in your time here and proving your just not some post padder and can add quality posts to the forum.

Yea recruting helps but if you post a ton of great stuff that really helps the forum I think turning the other cheek can happen if you aren't a great recruiter.
