    In Baseball America's current issue, the 20-year-old catcher is ranked No. 1 at his position, ahead of heralded Dodgers catching prospect Russ Martin.

    Saltalamacchia will begin the 2006 season at Class AA Mississippi, but the Braves have discussed moving him to first base at some point if he could help their team with his bat. Atlanta has a solid young catcher, Brian McCann.

    No surprise here. His main competition was Justin Huber, but I think the Royals switched him to 1B.
