Put Reitsma in, put him in! Nah but how is he doing so far? Also Kolb will be alright this year I promise.

Kolb sucks. End of story. I didn't like the signing in the first place. I would much rather have had the Braves sign a starter like Pavano and keep Smoltz in the pen.

    Pavano sucks.

I would much rather have an elite rotation with a solid bullpen than a solid rotation with a good bullpen.

The bullpen will be fine by October, just give Leo some time to whip em into shape.

    We better hope.

I think Smoltz should go back to closing. Can't see him making it all year starting and they need a closer if Kolb doesn't work.

Kinda glad the Cubs didn't go after him now.

Smoltz should NOT go back to the pen. That is a terrible idea, IMHO.

People are acting like the sky is falling. Relax. The Braves will be fine, we always are.

I will laugh at you in six months when we are in the Playoffs and Hudson-Smoltz are beating on everyone. They will be like what the Cubs rotation was in 2003 minus Bartman.

Smoltz pitching one or two innings per game in the playoffs does nothing for us.

OMFG... Dan Kolb almost blew the save again for the Braves. He had a three-run lead and allowed 5 hits to the Mets in the 9th inning including four in a row. Kolb sucks. The Braves actually had to bring in John Foster to finish off the game. What an embarrassment it is to be Dan Kolb. I tell you, Leo Mazzone has some major work to do.

If you read "Kolb" backwards, it's "Blok" which is close enough to "Blow".

Like I've been saying over and over, Kolb sucks. I'd rather have Mike Stanton as my closer.

If you ignore the closer role, Atlanta's bullpen is one of the best in the league.

Unfortunately, the closer is what makes or breaks the pen so that's not good.

Especially when our rotation will probably go 7+ innings most nights.. ATL has some great middle relievers, we just won't be needing them this season.

Solution: Trade for Ryan Dempster. He is the MAN.
