Braves agreed to terms with catcher Todd Pratt, who had been with the Phillies, on a one-year contract.
Even though he's turning 39 in February, Pratt was the class of the weak group of backup catchers available in free agency. The problem is that he's no longer capable of catching more than a game or two per week for any length of time. If Brian McCann gets hurt at some point, then Jarrod Salatalamacchia could be brought up from Double-A, just like McCann was last season
