Braves acquired outfielder Todd Hollandsworth from the Cubs for LHP Todd Blackford and RHP Angelo Burrows.
This might have made some sense a couple of months ago, but we don't see why the Braves want Hollandsworth now. Kelly Johnson and Ryan Langerhans are both better players and neither should lose starts to Hollandsworth. If Hollandsworth is just going to be a pinch-hitter, that's not so bad. After all, the Braves aren't giving up much. Blackford, a 2004 13th-round pick, and Burrows, a converted outfielder, are both longshots to have careers as relievers.
Not a bad deal, adds some depth and a veteran presense. Burrowsis a 25 year old A-baller, and Blackford is a decent RP.
