If you ever take a trip down to Cobb County, Georgia you better read the signs and respect law and order..

Good move. Never liked Turner Field, seemed outdated to me. Braves deserve a new ballpark.

    New stadium in 2017

Interesting take from Grantland. Essentially, the Braves are moving CLOSER to their fan base by leaving the city they are named for.

I've been there twice. I thought it was a nice stadium.

I never got the chance to go to the old Fulton County stadium but I've been to Turner Field many times and I know that this will be weird. Turner Field is great but the one complain I've always had is that there is not good entertainment around. No good food places, stores, etc. The new stadium will be located on the corner of I-75 & I-285. I just hope that this won't create a big cluster of jams.

"We found this beautiful site, and we couldn’t believe there’s 82 acres, pristine — with these beautiful trees unbothered by human hands —"

An actual statement by John Schuerholz about the new stadium location. Seemed ridiculous then and now that he would mention the trees when the plan was to cut every last one down.

The links don't work. I haven't been around in a long time but i thought I would stop by. Since I'm currently deployed I didn't get to go to the new stadium when it opened. I hope to go to a game when I return but I'm not sure. Just hope it is better than the Ted because I did grow up with that stadium so it's what I know. It wasn't in the best location so hopefully there is more to do in the new location. The area is not even done with construction which I do not like. If I was opening a new venue I would want everything complete by opening day. I think I read that some places around the park will be completed by the end of 2018.

Here are the satellite pics of the site before it was developed and after. As you can see, they drained the pond and cut down every last tree. I can understand the length of the project. The site was never developed before because of the cost of having to move the gas lines running underground.

Those are some interesting pictures, Mofo. It's always fun to see the satellite images of stadiums.

Hey Draven, nice to see you back. Stick around if you can!
