    Braves Update on Chipper's health

Chipper Jones took live batting practice today and said he's aiming for a July 18 return from a left foot injury.
''My mobility's not where I want it to be,'' Jones said after hitting. ''I've still got a little discomfort on the bottom of my foot preventing me from moving side to side the way I want to, but I can't expect it to be perfect the first day out.'' Jones expects to play a few games in the minors before returning to the lineup for the first game of a series against the Giants.

    From Rotoworld.

That's good to hear. Hopefully, he won't rush himself back into it only to get injured again.

You forgot our number 3..the starter with the best ERA since last year's all-star break..the one and only...Mike Hampton. And Thomson too.

Wilson Betemit or Andy Marte? Wilson Betemit's done a great job, on offense and defense. Marte's bat just isn't ready, but his defense is great. Even Orr has played okay.

Wilson Betemit will be Atlanta's SS next season.

Might have been Marte. Thanks for the info regardless.

He meant Marte, probably. Betemit is a SS who just happens to play 3B as well.
