Your reasoning is infallible. Once again, I applaud your successful defense of a perfectly logical statement.

Peavy also will make at least 80 million more than McLouth...that is always part of the equation...if he made less I imagine the Braves woulda offered more spec wise.

    STOP BEING LOGICAL.

Leo says it's the same, so it's the same. The only factors that matter in a trade are players given up and players received. Salary makes no difference.

It's always nice to see a rational response that doesn't call someone's intelligence into question and call them a moron for making a misguided statement, though.

I applaud cjkalt for not having his panties all waded up.

Morton was not a part of Atlanta's long-term plans, but I really wish Gorkys wasn't a part of this deal. Ah well. Is it that hard for Atlanta to land an OF that can hit decently? I used to think those kind of guys grew on trees.

I'm sorry but the Pirates got the better end of this deal. Gorkys is a great defensive OFer who can hit for a good average and is only 21. Then they get Locke who can throw hard but needs control work at 21 years old and a 24 year old starter in Morton. Three guys for McLouth? Pirates did well while the Braves did OK. Don't let the GG fool you.

I haven't cared for the way Wren has handled business since he took over.
