    Braves Mets @ Braves

    (10-13) @ (11-13)

    5/4 Game 1: John Maine (1-2, 5.40 ERA) vs. Javier Vazquez (2-2, 3.38 ERA)

    5/5 Game 2: Livan Hernandez (1-1, 6.75 ERA) vs. Kenshin Kawakami (1-3, 7.06 ERA)

A quick 2 game series against the Mets. We really need this 2 wins. The Braves need to gain some ground on the struggling Marlins and the next 4 games is the best time for it. After these 2 games the Braves face the Marlins in another 2 game set in Florida. Vazquez has pitched pretty decent but without run support it's hard to get the win. Kawakami needs to bounce back.

I'm thinking 15 runs scored in game two, combined. Really, one of the most epic ugly match ups so far this season. I type all of that and watch, a pitcher's duel. (jinx? naaaaaah, tons of runs scored).

I'm hoping for another Daniel Murphy boner defensive play this short series.

I'm predicting Livan goes 5 2/3 innings, 3 or 4 runs, and the Mets win 7-4. Murphy's been fine, and the Mets did a solid job yesterday, didn't give up, and got a couple nice shots off of Vazquez. Maine had one bad inning, but rebounded, made an adjustment, and he had a solid outing. If the Mets can win game 2, it'll be a good way to head back to Citi Field to face the Phils.

I underestimated Livan. Nice outing today from him. Mets almost blew it in the 9th thanks to Delgado's shitty fielding, but we escaped with the 2 game series sweep...
