Thread: Possible additions to the Braves?

Braves Possible additions to the Braves?

Just a list, for fun I guess. No real purpose:

    OF Austin Kearns
OF Wily Mo Pena (I wish)
    IF Ryan Freel
P Jeremy Affeldt (Rumored to be on the block)
1B Mike Sweeney (Don't see this happening unless we're really desperate for a bat)
OF Frank Catalanotto (Extra OF in Toronto)
    OF David Dellucci
    OF Gary Matthews Jr.
    OF Kevin Mench
OF Laynce Nix (Rangers have too many OFs, could trade one, probably Matthews)
3B Eric Chavez (I can hope, right)
OF Eric Byrnes (I hear somewhere he might be on the move, not 100% sure)
OF Marquis Grissom (Could be on the move)
OF Michael Tucker (The Giants might stick with Feliz in OF)
OF Matt Lawton (Pirates don't like contract, unlikely)
P Arthur Rhodes (Had to put him on the list, he's always on the block)
OF Casey Blake (Indians have a surplus of OFs)

Any more to add? This list is full of reaches, most unrealistic probably.

Add Alex Sanchez to that list, was released today. Would you want him?

Things could happen, it's gotten chaotic in Tampa, who knows what they'll do. And Atlanta is bound to do something worthwhile with all of the injury, bullpen issues, and letting games get away from them.

What would we give Tampa for Huff? I'm sure they won't part with him easily.

The ghost of Raul Mondesi, Colon, a pack of cheese crackers would do the trick.

I'd do it in an instant. I'd even throw in Dan Kolb.

I'm thinking if he's a FA next season or due a ton of money, Tampa would part with him easier than people would think. But I don't know either, I don't have that damn Insider thing on espn.com to find out more.

Jim Brower was also released last week. Michael Tucker is definitely avaliable as we have no use for him now. Pena and Affelt would do a lot of good. I don't see Dellucci going anywhere.

Texas got themselves a nice player in Delucci. I'm sure the Yanks wish they had held on to him.
