Braves No Future for A.Jones for '08

A surprise that they'd make an announcement like this. The Braves are almost certain to go buy a center fielder, though with Jordan Schafer a possibility to take over as a regular in 2009 and 2010, they may look to do a short-term deal. Mike Cameron would be ideal. Corey Patterson could also be an option. A trade is a long shot, but they could look into acquiring Coco Crisp from the Red Sox.
Well, I'm not surprised but at least I could hope he would of stayed.

It will be weird seeing him in another uniform but he time was up in Atlanta. I just hope he doesn't come to SF.

Your right Reefer it is going to be weird seeing him in a different uniform. Its kind of like picture Bonds in a different uniform or Derek Jeter in a different uniform, you just can't.

I really can't imagine him in another uniform either.

hhhmmmm.. do I smell the Yankees opening up their wallets again?

If the Yankees happen to sign Jones, it would not bother me though. To be honest, that is actually one team that I think A. Jones would fit in nicely.

I wonder where he will end up? Curious minds want to know.

It would be a good fit for him seeing as how Damon is starting to get old and washed up but he can't leadoff and I don't think Jeter wants to do that so I don't know.

Jones is a LFer now IMO. He has gained so much weight and lost a lot of range. I think he is suited for a corner outfield spot.

Jones leading off would be the single stupidest thing the Yanks have done since playing Knoblauch in the field.

I know but I'm just saying thats probably why the Yankees won't sign him. I'm not saying that that is what the Yankees should do.
