While he wasn't positive, John Smoltz thinks he'll be able to make his next start Sunday after suffering a mild shoulder strain Tuesday.
Smoltz also aggravated his pinkie finger tonight. "Had they given me 10 minutes I would have been OK," Smoltz said. "But you don't get 10 minutes on the mound to work yourself back into shape. I really don't anticipate a problem." The Braves will know more after his next bullpen session.
"For someone who was never meant for this world, I must confess I'm suddenly having a hard time leaving it. Of course, they say every atom in our bodies was once part of a star. Maybe I'm not leaving... maybe I'm going home."
