Brian or Joe?

A post sortof like this was made in another forum with 2 differant players. I thought I would copy it with our guy. Who is better, McCann or Maurer.

First off it's Mauer, and second, McCann is better.

Besides, I really doubt Mauer will stay at catcher. Doesn't he have knee problems already?

Mauer has sensational talent, but McCann looks like he is still getting better. I like them both but for now I give the edge to Mauer

Sorry I spelled Mauer wrong. Spelling isn't my strong point. My vote goes to McCann. It is a close race because both are young, have power, hit for avg. and are pretty good at playing D.

I'd personally take Joe, but they are probably the two best young catchers in baseball. Plus, Joe's record for throwing out runners is a lot better, he'd probably save 30 bases or so a year by doing that (if he caught 15 more guys stealing with the same number of attempts, it's a 2 base difference per. Plus, less people would steal on Joe based on rep).

Still, no bad choices here.
