Yeah, lets never go by OOTP. Ever. Especially CubbyFan's rosters.

Shit, I don't want to go by '06 no matter who's rosters are used. Son of a ***** game... rawrr.

Anyways, what's left to do now? Betemit pretty much was every serious trade rumor involving ATL.

You can have John Wasdin. I think we're done with him,

Fine. You can have Mike Hampton for him.

Honestly, Gen, you must be a ****ing idiot. The PCL is a notorious hitter's league, knock 40-100 pts off the OBP, 20-50 pts of the AVG, and like 5 hr's and you have the average minor league stats. I could hit .300/.450/.460 in the PCL.

Baez isn't that good. He has a small sample size and has never pitched for a contender. If Aybar maxes out his talent he is still well short of Betemit. Baez is not close to any of the other pitchers rumored to the Braves.

An intelligent deal would have been Doug Davis for Betemit, or something along that nature, a good middle rotation starter, not a reliever (good ones come every year), and a utility infielder (dime a dozen).

    Betemit could be really special.

No, Reitsma. I'd rather take a flier on Hampton next season.

I doubt Milwaukee would move Davis for Betemit.

Yeah, lets knock off a 100 OBP points, just because its a hitter's league.

Dude, the stadiums there are little league fields, and every team keeps their good pitchers away for fear of hurting their confidence.

Trust me, he's not a .300 AVG/.400 OBP guy. I'd be surprised if he gets a higher OBP than .375.

    He's not a leadoff savior.

To say this is something really bad like what the reds did, is insane. I don't like the deal, but it's far from a shit deal. You know just as ****ing much as we do about the Aybar guy. Who's to say he doesn't turn out to be good too? And Baez is better than most of the things Atlanta throws out there.

And they never would, but a pitcher of similar value from a team who needed a 3B or 2B with power and solid D. See any team in the NL West, and the Anaheim Angels.

I could live with a Betemit for Weaver trade...

Dude, I never said it was close to the Reds deal. You got at least some competent players. But no way do Aybar and Baez > Betemit, or even equal him. You got gipped, especially when the value for Betemit could have brought in much more.

Betemit and a good AA pitcher may have gotten you Santana...

Regarding Aybar's speed, he stole 33 bases in the GCL as a 13 year old...
