Get better pitchers. I'm sure something will go down before the deadline.

Dude, we're in dead last place, with Florida and Washington in our division.

I see the future, and its bleak.

Things will pan out. It's not hopeless. They have to build a pen, which means not relying on journeymen(Remlinger) or crap ass young guys(McBride). I'm not even giving up this season just yet, history says Philly will crash and burn, the mets are the mets, and do you really think Washington and Florida will keep doing what their doing? It's a long shot this season. As for the future, it's not bleak.

Bleak is Kansas City and Pittsburgh.

I couldn't believe when I relized that we were in last place. Your avatar is a perfect of how I feel this season. We go from the #1 team with 14 straight Division titles to dead last.

What the hell happened during the offseason?

Pittsburgh has youth at almost all of their positions and have some very nice prospects.

And KC has some of the best prospects in baseball and a now-competent GM in JS' boy, Moore.

We're the ones with a half-senile manager, pie throwers in the pen, and huge contracts.

Cox isn't that bad, the bullpen is horrendous though, and to an extent hitting hasn't been producing. They need a quick rehash, 2 or 3 years of good drafting and acquisitions, if they're going to rebuild. But they most likely won't, which means aging veterans, a la Mets.

10 years from now, Kansas City and Pittsburgh will still be bad and still on a postseason-less streak.
