Braves Chris Reitsma reaches a new low point for pitchers

Even Rocky Biddle wasn't this bad.

    Today's outing for Chris:

    2/3 IP, 7 H, 5 R, 5 ER. In a mop up situation.

    His ERA? A robust 9.11.

Reds fans can rest easily with their Bong and Bubba.

    He needs to go ASAP.

Reitsma gave up five hits in a row.

Bobby Cox did not pull him.

Bobby Cox deserves some blame for letting Reitsma get ruined today, you don't leave a guy in when he's getting killed like that.

Ken Ray has been closing the games lately the few opportunities they have had. He has been pretty decent, a lot better than Retisma.

No, I think its Bobby basically saying, "you're on your own" after basically defending him for 2 years, blaming "luck" and shit for him sucking.

Yeah, that's the way to be, Bobby Cox.

"This guy's a horrible reliever. Just to spite him I'll leave him in the game! That'll show him!"

That's bullshit and you know it. It was Cox being stupid and not pulling a guy when he had nothing and he knew he had nothing. Pulling him isn't going to be "defending" him, it's going to be defending the team from Reitsma's shitty pitching.

I know, he wasn't defending him; he left him out there to get shelled.

Personally, I loved it. Sure as hell beats Bobby pulling him after the 2nd run and saying he "didn't have his best stuff today, but he looked good".

You know what beats all other options?

Not costing the team 3 more runs by letting Reitsma keep pitching, and pulling him, and not using him anymore. But Cox is clearly going senile and is now too insane to do that because he just keeps brnging him in.

Same thing goes for Jordan. Cox loves his veterans, what can I say.

Him going senile will be when he summons ATLien to pitch the 9th.

At least you still have Reitsma. Both Bong and Bubba are gone. Although we screwed you all by making Reitsma a starter before we traded him to you guys.
