    Diamondbacks sign versatile Easley

    PHOENIX -- As he continues to work the phones trying to find the right deal for Javier Vazquez, Diamondbacks general manager Josh Byrnes took time out Monday to sign infielder Damion Easley to a one-year deal that will pay him $700,000.
