The Diamondbacks have agreed to terms with first baseman Lyle Overbay on a one-year deal worth $1MM, tweets Jon Heyman of the MLB Network.

Overbay began last year in Pittsburgh on a one-year deal worth $5MM, but was released after batting just .227/.300/.349. He latched on with the Diamondbacks down the stretch and hit a solid .286/.388/.452 in 49 plate appearances.
Not a bad deal for someone to backup Paul Goldschmidt. Overbay can still play good defense and he did well back in the BOB.
