D'Backs 2 year deal for Bloomquist

Willie Bloomquist turned down a richer contract offer from the Giants before signing a two-year, $3.8 million deal Wednesday morning with the Diamondbacks, according to Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic.
How much richer is unclear. Bloomquist also may have been given an opportunity to start at shortstop in San Francisco, but he decided to remain in his comfort zone and re-up with Arizona. The 33-year-old veteran will function as a super-utilityman for the Diamondbacks next year. He batted .266/.317/.340 this past season.
Thank god Bloomquist is not a greedy bastard!

How excited would you have been if he had become SF's starting shortstop? Oooh, I know, you'd be doubled over in excitement!

The Mets are probably now debating on having Jason Bay kidnapped.

Damn, WTF do they need another utility infielder for? They already had John McDonald re-signed for 2 years.
