Diamondbacks acquired outfielder Cole Gillespie and RHP Roque Mercedes from the Brewers for second baseman Felipe Lopez.
Not a thrilling return. Gillespie, a 2006 third-round pick out of Oregon State, was hitting .242/.332/.424 for Triple-A Nashville. He's typically been a nice OBP guy, but he's limited to left field and he doesn't offer 25-homer potential. He's going to have a tough time making it as a starter. Mercedes is a decent enough relief prospect, though one without closer upside. He had a 1.08 ERA in 41 2/3 innings out of the pen for Single-A Brevard County

Decent haul, I suppose. Lopez should fill the hole at 2B for the rest of the season in Milwaukee, and the DBacks got a decent young pitcher back.
Rotoworld also suggested that Augie Ojeda, Rusty Ryal or Augie Ojeda would get the AB's at 2B for Arizona.
