    D'Backs It Keeps Getting Worse

    Diamondbacks CEO Jeff Moorad resigned his position on Friday and will be replaced by team president Derrick Hall.
    No word yet on what spurred the change, but it's possible Moorad was frustrated with the team's unwillingness to spend and recent management cutbacks. Moorad, a longtime player agent, assumed the role of CEO in Aug. 2004, replacing Jerry Colangelo.
    I would hate to work for the Dbacks. They fired a bunch of front office people to cut costs and now the CEO resigns. Rough stuff!

    That sucks. Probably has a major impact on them, resulting in the lack of moves made by the D-Backs this offseason.

    Moorad resigned because he is planning to buy the Padres from John Moores.
