(Lancaster, CA) - The California League and the Lancaster JetHawks announced on Monday that Lancaster shortstop Stephen Drew has been named the California League Offensive Player of the Week for June 6-12. Drew is the first JetHawks player to earn the weekly distinction from the league.

JETHAWKS LOSE OPENER TO BLAZE 5-2, LOSE GROUND IN RACE
(Lancaster, CA) – Neb Brown collected two hits for the JetHawks in his first
game at home in 2005. However, Lancaster dropped a 5-2 decision to the
Bakersfield Blaze for the third straight loss. The JetHawks are 34-31 for the
year and fall two and one-half games behind Lake Elsinore in the South Division
race.

JetHawks downed the Visalia Oaks 12-3 in the series opener on Friday night at
Clear Channel Stadium at Lancaster, CA. The JetHawks improve its record to
36-32 on the year with the win.

(Lancaster, CA) – Chad Scarbery tossed a complete game, the first by a Lancaster pitcher this year, as the JetHawks downed the Visalia Oaks 9-1 on Saturday night at Clear Channel Stadium at Lancaster, CA in front of a crowd of 5,218. The attendance was the seventh largest crowd at the Hangar in six years. With the win, the JetHawks improve to 37-32 on the year.

(San Jose, CA) - Chris Carter drove in two runs for the JetHawks on Monday
night. However, the Giants came back to beat the JetHawks 11-3 at Municipal
Stadium in San Jose. The loss drops the JetHawks to 0-1 in the second half and
37-34 overall for the season.

(Lancaster, CA) – Edgar Varela drove in three runs for the JetHawks in a 7-5
win over the Lake Elsinore Storm on Thursday night at Clear Channel Stadium at
Lancaster, CA. The JetHawks have now won 11 of the last 13 games. The win also
improves the JetHawks to 28-26 in the second half and 65-59 overall for the
year.

JETHAWKS CLINCH SOUTH DIVISION PLAYOFF BERTH
(Lancaster, CA) – For the sixth time in the ten year history of the Lancaster franchise, the JetHawks have qualified for post season play after clinching a playoff berth tonight. The JetHawks will face the High Desert Mavericks in the first round, best-of-three-game, Mini Series of the California League Playoffs. The JetHawks have clinched a wild card spot in the playoffs, however, Lancaster could still win the South Division title as the team sits only 3 ½ games behind the front-running Mavericks with five games to play. The two teams square off in a three-game series this weekend at High Desert.
