    Movies You've Seen Thread

I was wondering where the hell the movie threads were...

I just saw X-Men: Days of Future Past.

This was the best movie of the X-Men series, including the Wolverine movies. I think the last couple have been pretty solid, X-Men: First Class and The Wolverine were solid compared to Last Stand and Wolverine: Origins.

Days of the Future Past is a pretty epic movie with some good action, deaths and humor. It also helps that with what they did with this movie gives them a clean slate for any sequels they do from here. Yes, Quicksilver pretty much has the best scene in the movie as everyone has said.

Draft Day was alright if you can suspend your belief in terms of what happens trade wise, it's basically a GML movie versus a real NFL Draft movie.

Out this week is A Million Ways to Die In the West... looks terrible and the ice joke that they beat to death in the trailer really doesn't want to make me see it if that's one of the better jokes in the movie.

Next that I may be interested in seeing:

    Transformers 4
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes
    Guardians of the Galaxy
    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

because the first and last are Michael Bay films I don't have high expectations.

Saw Godzilla. Was pretty shit as I expected, fun epic battle scenes though.

Want to see X-Men, will probably be dragged along to see Maleficent. Other than that there's nothing motivating me to spend my $$

I tend to only go to movies if my friends really want to see it, and if its cheap night. Tuesday = $5.99, I'm alright with that most of the time. X-Men was actually one of the few times where I said it was worth the ticket price.

Nobody other than me goes to Matinees? $2.50 and a less crowded theatre is perfect for me at 10 AM on Saturday.

Our theatre on cheap nights they only have like one or two normal viewings for $5.99, and then the rest of the movie viewings are in 3D for $8.99 and its kind of annoying because 3D hasn't added much to any of the movies I recently saw.

I don't like the 3D viewings. Headache every time.

    I, Frankenstein (meh)
Captain America: The Winter Soldier (one of the best comic book movies I've ever seen)
Godzilla (really loved it, 3D was perfect for it, took me back as a child)

Wow, I guess I haven't seen many 2014 movies yet.

I agree Captain America: Winter Soldier was a good movie, big improvement over the first but X-Men: DotFP was better.
