The movie needed it.
aka, its essentially any action movie that features the rock. sounds good, thats pretty much what i expected anyway.

Who would want to be thumped by Scarlett Johansson?

I didn't realize they were doing this until I just now saw a trailer. I hope they do the series right, which would mean a bunch of sequels that people who hate sequels would hate on because it's too much to cram into one movie. (cue the typical Nic Cage hate too, but whatever)

Re: 2014 Version of Movies You've Seen Thread

Just got back from watching Ninja Turtles and it was awesome. It had about everything I was expecting to get from it and the Turtles' attitudes were spot on. My only very slight gripe is they dedicated more time to April O'Neal's story arc than I cared about, but that's just something to nitpick about if I had to.

Although, I already know what those who will complain will complain about.

(SPOILER COMING IF IT ISN'T OBVIOUS)

Movies You've Seen ThreadThey basically disregarded the history between Splinter and Shredder by making Splinter just another one of the lab animals that got mutated (as opposed to the Sensei or pet rat of the Sensei when everything happened in Japan)

I actually like this origin story better than that from the original movies where Splinter is a pet rat who somehow teaches himself by watching his owner, but I like the cartoon's origin better where he's an actual Sensei who mutated into rat form. But either way I can work with it, I don't think origin stories make or break the story as a whole, and I'm not bothered by people changing certain aspects of stories in reboots. I can treat each story adaptation as its own story, so that aspect doesn't ruin anything for me.

Saw Guardians of the Galaxy on opening day and it's better than the trailers. Most people won't know who most of these characters are and it won't matter. The SFX and the storytelling along with a good amount of comic relief made that a truly enjoyable blockbuster popcorn flick.

(3D+IMAX = the SHIZZZ for these types of movies)

Looking foward to seeing Guardians and the Avengers in a tie-in. No, nothing has been announced but it's pretty obvious that is where Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the marvel movie universe is heading. It could be absolutely epic

Because America is Raytarded. I was watching The Express as well, and in any sane world, it would have made more than $10 million while the only promo Kevin James belongs in is for Kings of Queens re-runs or the next season of The Surreal Life.

I for one don' t have Nicolas Cage hate.

Why is everybody hating on the family friendly farce movies like Paul Blart (and Kevin James)? There are very many movies that are silly that you could take the whole family to see that isn't animated. Not every movie can be a special effects juggernaut or thought provoking masterpiece. Nothing wrong with a little plain 'ol goofy movie.

Though I somewhat agree about Adam Sandler, I think the last okay movie I saw of his was "Bedtime Stories", the rest have been blah.

I've been a little behind on some of my movie viewing, but I did finally see "Django Unchained" on NetFlix over the weekend. Getting past the usual Tarantino gore and the N-word every 5 minutes. it's an awesome movie. I also finally saw "Star Trek Into Darkness" and "Skyfall" recently.

Happy Gilmore, The Waterboy, and Billy Maddison are still some of my favorites. Click and Little Nicky were enjoyable.

But for the most part I can see why Sandler wears on people. He basically makes the same movie all the time.

I lean more toward the sappy ones like " 50 First Dates" and "The Wedding Singer", you know, cause I'm a girl.

Sorry Mach, I didn't even pay attention to the year....is there a 2015 one???
