The TV show Discussion thread *possible spoilers

The Leftovers -- I went ahead and read the novel. Pfehhh. Didn't spoil a thing. The novel has nowhere near the drama and dynamics that the series has. Most of the same characters, but they are not much like what they are in the series. I'm not saying the novel is bad, it's well written but it's very quiet and subtle. It's more about what people do with their day to day lives in the aftermath of such a weird event. There's no build up to major confrontations or weird dreams or forgotten nights out. In the book, Kevin is the mayor, not the sheriff. His daughter is described as rather plain, not cute like she is in the series.

I started to get a little weary of the series until about 2 episodes ago when they started tying things together more. I'm back into it again. I expect all hell to break loose on Memorial Day.

Sons of Anarchy in 4 days

Finished the final season of Californication. Good stuff. Not as good as previous seasons, but plenty of good moments. Not many shows that I'd like to own the entire series of, but Californication is definitely one I would.

4 episodes left in S4 of Walking Dead. I've got mixed feelings on this season (like the 3 before it).

Halfway through S2 of Hemlock Grove. Another show that I'm still trying to decide if I like it or not.

I'll probably watch S2 of Hemlock Grove at some point. Didn't really care for S1, but I'll likely give it another shot.

Pretty slow opening for the SOA season for me, but it definitely setting up Gemma's web to fall apart, and I can already see some big losses to come this season.

Yeah, that's definitely happening...and it to make matters worse he's getting revenge on the wrong people thanks to Gemma creating uneccesary beef.

Gemma has always been the most selfish person in the show, look at how sweet her life is now with her lover back and obedient son. Everything she ever wanted, maybe this season will be more about her downfall

I am a bit late, but have finally joined half the planet in watching "The Walking Dead", so let me see if I got this straight. After the Zombie Apocalypse society doesn't change much, the men still go off and do cool stuff like rescues and killing zombies while the women stay home doing laundry.
