Update: TMZ is reporting he's dead. LA Times, NY Times, and all the major networks refuse to go that far yet.

Re: Michael Jackson rushed to the hospital
Sad. Obviously, there's the hope that it's not true, since TMZ isn't exactly incredibly reliable, but if he is dead, sad sad news...

Re: Michael Jackson is dead
Really lousy news. Say what you will about him as a person, but its undeniable the impact he had on music and how talented be was.
Its a shame he couldn't have gone out on a high note as whether he was guilty or not of the crimes against him, it would have been a hard life to get up and see your name in the paper like his was with the kind of words that often surrounded it.

Yes, he was crazy by the end of his life. But the man wrote Thriller. Enough said.
Rest in Peace Michael.

Re: Michael Jackson is dead
It's sad on a lot of levels. The fact that he's been viewed & scrutinized in the media as this enigmatic pervert (whether he is or isn't) for years now, right up until his death basically, only to be embraced once he's gone like so many others before...
I don't think he had a lot left to give, and this doesn't come as a shock to me one bit, but it's still sad to see anyone like that go. He accomplished a lot, and it would have been nice if he could have just slid out of the spotlight quietly and lived a reserved life. But he did a lot for the music industry and made a lot of people happy, despite all of the bullshit.
It's just weird when people of his stature pass. I don't think many people know how to feel or react. I can't say I'm sad, but it's a sad situation.

Re: Michael Jackson is dead
He was supposed to start another world tour. I grew up on his music and tried my damnest to mimic some of his moves. His movement were so quick and sudden that it as difficult to do. I personally think that Pepsi commerical where he hair caught fire was his downfall and messed him up more than we were all led on. Many people that saw him said that he was fraile when they saw him. It's a shame that he's gone.

He was going on a world tour?
I thought he was doing 8 shows in London and then retiring, and it looked like he was going to need to cancel a few of them to boot.
Where'd you hear about a world tour? That's wild if it's true.
