They have a great "hitter's park". Pitchers don't really like pitching in the Texas heat. They tend to wear down as the season progresses. The Rangers also have had some of the worst luck in the history of the bigs when it comes to pitchers getting injured.
All of this said, I hope the kid makes a full recovery. His stuff is said to be electric.
