    Now pitching JP Howell.

Carp lifts one deep to left center, Upton running a long way and reaches for the grab…one of those you’d like to see more often from someone that thinks he’s as skillful as his lil’ bro.

    Now pitching Juan Cruz.

Wells grounds a single to left.
    Olivo Ks swinging.
LRod batting, Wells is gunned down on a steal attempt.

Furbush struggled early and the Rays were able to get a big lead early. The M’s were able to rack up 7 hits but unable to score.

    Hellboy with 8 scoreless innings.

4 Rbi’s for Longoria pushing him ahead of Zobrist for team leader. With his 1st inning homer last night he joined Eddie Matthews as the only third basemen in MLB history to hit 20 homers in his first four seasons.

Michael Pineda is 9-7, with a 3.77 ERA, he gave up a career-high 3 homers while walking four in a five-inning no-decision against the Jays on Monday.

James Shields pitched a CG against the Red Sox in the first game of the DH, unfortunately one of the 3 hits he gave up was a 3 run homer and he took the loss.

What a wild game last night, what was though tot be a grand slam was a bases clearing double, a run scored on a WP was actually a HBP....back and forth but the Rays prevailed with a walk off homer from Johnny Damon getting one back when replay showed what was originally ruled a grand was actually a ball hit off the top of the railing.

5 in a row for the Rays and a sweep of the Mariners.
