At the very least. The 9th is a whole different animal than the 7th and 8th. Just ask Franklin.

To get off the closer shit, Joe Thurston has really impressed me filling in as a spot starter and utility man. Nice, fast guy to have on that bench. He already has six RBI in limited play.

The difference is that Perez has been a closer his entire minor league career. He has a lot of experience with that pressure in the minors. Of course, there is more pressure in the Majors, but he knows what it feels like to be counted on to get that save. He likes that pressure. That's more than can be said of a lot of pitchers.

I do like Thursten. After losing Miles and Lopez, Thurston is a great addition to the team.
